Pre-made snacks

Been watching Game of Thrones recently every weekend. It airs on Monday in Malaysia and I watch it on Friday with Liam. It is so enthralling. Westeros seems a horrible place to live in but I'm intrigued!

Anyway, last weekend we chilled with Westeros and on Saturday we watched End Game... finally. I am not a huge Avengers fan and had to read the back story behind it as I missed Infinity War last year. Liam only likes Guardians of the Galaxy in the series and we watched Volume 2 on Sunday on Netflix.

Other than that, last weekend we also did some yoga and visited a Ramadan Bazaar. Yummy food although I didn't take photos. We also went to Ikea to buy a furniture part and ended up buying more household things like dish rack, laundry basket and lint roller. Lol. Liam said he can just see the money rolling in every second for Ikea as there was a long queue to pay.

For our Friday night GOT session, I made snacks and brought them over. I made an omelet roll and a fruit salad. They were really yummy. There were 2 omelet rolls and one fruit salad that I made.  Below are the 3 containers.

The below omelet roll had a mince meat and veg filling. I made the filling with minced pork, sliced cabbage and sliced carrots. It had a soy sauce, sesame oil and black pepper seasoning. Basically I made the filling first then made a round omelet. I put the filling into the omelet when it was 90% cooked and folded it over. I put a plate on the omelet and turned the frying pan upside down to securely dish out the omelet. Smart right? Or noob... Below is the recipe

Minced Pork Egg Roll
(serves 2)

Ingredients
Method
  1. Put oil in a pan and fry the minced pork until cooked.
  2. Add in sliced carrots and cabbage and fry till softened.
  3. Season with all the seasonings. Set aside.
  4. Crack 2 eggs and beat with a fork.
  5. On a non stick pan, heat oil on low or medium flame.
  6. Pour in the eggs into a circular shape.
  7. Allow eggs to cook undisturbed until nearly set.
  8. Spoon in filling onto one half and lift the other half to fold it on top of the filling.
  9. Allow to cook awhile then turn off heat.
  10. Put a plate on top of the omelet in the pan.
  11. Turn the pan upside down so the omelet transfers securely onto the plate.
  12. Serve immediately with some ketchup or pack it to eat later.

The other thing I made was a fruit salad with shredded coconut. It was super yummy. I used fruits like guava, dates and bananas and added whipped cream and maple syrup. It had a caramel-ly taste coz of the dates. I also sprinkled some coconut flakes on the top. Once mixed up, it was yummy and tasted creamy. Sorry for the lack of pictures. Below is the recipe. Enjoy!
