Yesterday I had lunch with my parents near Leisure Mall. It was a coffeeshop with hawker stalls. It had economy rice which is what my parents usually have. They pile their plate with dishes and it only costs less than RM10. And they share it too! Saving money I guess.
I on the other hand had claypot lou shi fun, one of my favourite dry noodle dishes. It is just superbly yummy and I can't get enough of it. It is a dry noodle but comes with a soup with vegetables, meatballs, fishballs and fuchuk. The fuchuk, or fried bean curd sheets, was really nice.
The claypot lou shi fun had minced meat with a dark sauce. There was also an egg cracked into it which was runny and nice. I pierced the wet egg yolk and ate it with the noodles. The taste was delicious. There were also some spring onions on top.
Lou shi fun is a rice noodle that is shaped like a little rat's tail, hence the name which means rat's tail. That's a nice background story I'm sharing. Haha.
Anyway, after eating that I was craving more. I can't get enough... too yummy! Hope I get back to my diet and exercise. I am training for a 5km run that is happening in June. I figured having an actual event would motivate me to run and help me lose weight in the process. Hope it works!
