Yesterday we went for my aunt's birthday party at Le Meridian Putrajaya. It was a very expensive meal and I wish I ate more. I don't know why I couldn't eat my money's worth. I guess I am used to fasting in the afternoon. I did try my best though and paced myself well.
It was at a restaurant called Latest Recipe in the hotel. There wasn't much of a crowd and it was a cozy, nice setting.
The fare was quite good, there was a good salad bar. There was also some basic sushi, and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp is where you could get your money's worth. I tried the mussels too.

Below is my 3rd helping of food. There was Waldorf salad.
There was also some Asian food. Below is chicken rice with chicken and duck. And calamari squid rings, mutton curry and papadom. I liked it. It was really appetizing. I should have had more of the mutton. (Yes, I wasn't vegan yesterday... I am only sometimes vegan. Guess you could say I am not a vegan at all, just eating less meat.)
Below is dessert with fruit and cakes. The pineapple was sweet and the strawberries were good. Shown below is coffee cake and blackforest cake. There were many types of cakes but I chose the light ones.
Below is the dessert spread. Many types of cakes like red velvet, cheesecake, tarts etc. Very professionally made and pretty.
I ended with coffee from their coffee machine. I chose cappuccino. The coffee was not bad. Quite strong, which I like. There was some milk and water to dilute it but I liked it as it was. Really frothy on the top.
Overall it was a good meal and I enjoyed it. Happy birthday to my aunt and thanks for the great meal!Labels: celebration, eating out, restaurant
