There was another birthday to be had! My brother's birthday was earlier this month and I am only blogging about it now. Guess there was a backlog. Anyway, here are the pictures from the birthday celebration.
The cake was awesome. It was a chocolate cake made with french chocolate and Kahlua. Really rich and moist. My mom put some strips of fondant to decorate the cake together with sugar leaves, ladybugs and a bear! So cute.
This was the birthday dinner spread. The pie is beef pie. There are also chicken wings, sweet potato and yam wedges, a salad and boiled eggs dyed red in the birthday tradition. So yum!
Here is a close up of the beef pie and you can see how much beef is in there. And I realized it's impossible to be a vegan in my house. So I made an exception that day. Started over again after that.
