Pizza!

I made a pizza yesterday using the leftover minced meat from my tacos earlier this week. And I made the pizza dough from scratch using this recipe. It was a nice, chewy and delicious dough... and of course, really easy to make. No need to knead or let rise! Above all, it was ready within 10 minutes and I had more time to prepare the toppings.

Anyway, I pressed the dough into a pizza pan (mine didn't have holes at the bottom) and baked it for about 5 minutes before putting on the toppings. For the toppings, first my mom helped spread it with tomato paste. Then we added on the cooked minced meat, sliced sausages, capsicum, onions and basil leaves. Lastly we added cheddar, parmesan and mozzarella cheese... lots of cheese!

In the end, we baked it for about 20 minutes on a high heat. The bread started to brown and the cheese was melted so that's how we know it's ready.

So, yes, I did eat meat yesterday. Seems like a cheat day became a cheat week! I will try to be more vegan. Once I fall off I get right back to it. No worries... Notice I said "more vegan"... I am not actually a total vegan, just trying to eat more like a vegan. So far it has helped with my digestion and I bet my cholesterol levels will be lower if I take a blood test. Not to mention the animals I saved by cutting down meat. There are many types of vegans and I think I am a "weekend vegan". Meaning I am vegan certain days of the week only.

Anyway, I really enjoyed making the pizza with my mom. My mom's only complaint is why didn't I make more pizza dough so we can freeze it for next time. Guess everyone loves pizza! From young to old, pizza is always good. The next time I go to a western country I will try to buy vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni! Then I can really be more vegan! 😂
