Mooncakes 2018

Finally, after baking yesterday we could start to devour the yummy mooncakes! The skin was already soaking up the oils and was softening. So for tea time, we ate the mooncakes. Below are the photos. The mooncakes will be with us and we will eat them as dessert after every meal or as a snack.

I am really enjoying them now. My mom made enough for us and some to give to our family. It really is a labour of love. Every time I eat the mooncake I will think of my mom. I am so lucky indeed to have a mom who knows how to make mooncake. I will cherish every bit of mooncake I can.

They were still glossy and looked very intricate. Below are some of the pics I took. They have different designs from different moulds. Also to be able to identify the mooncakes types.




My favourite was the white lotus paste ones. Shown in the foreground of the below picture. I like it because of its mild taste.


Here are the 4 types shown very clearly. The nuts and fruits one is on top. it is sitting on the red bean one which is black in colour. Then the one with the orange is the egg yolk one. And the one on the far right is the white lotus.
