Mango Custard Dessert

Yesterday was father's day and we celebrated it by going for lunch and dinner! We had lunch at a clubhouse and dinner at tai chow nearby. Our present to dad was a Fitbit watch we bought in Vancouver for my dad.

My dad is a super nice guy and always does things for us, supports us and helps us. He is a great dad and he deserved this day. He is always looking out for us, and we are so grateful. Everything he does, he does with us in mind. Thanks dad!

Lunch was awesome. I ordered vegetables with rice, and a raspberry smoothie. The raspberry smoothie was better than I expected! My fam ordered chicken chop and grilled fish, satay (of course) and my bro had lotus root soup. I ate the cucumbers and ketupat that came with the satay with satay sauce.

Dinner was at tai chow and we ate rice with dishes. I had tofu with petula, and veg with rice. My fam ordered assam fish, pork, and squid with salted egg. Of course I was tempted. Vegans do get tempted at times, but I stuck to my veggies coz I know I am doing a good thing here.

For dessert, I made a Jello custard pudding in a biscuit shell. And topped it with sliced mango. My mom sliced the mango and arranged it nicely in a circle with a rose in the middle! So pretty! It was yummy. I used the Jello and added almond milk and poured it into the biscuit shell, then placed the cut fruits on top. It was a little runny coz the almond milk was a bit thin. But the taste was good. Creamy and sweet. Yum!

Anyway it was a lovely celebration and my brother explained to my dad how to use the Fitbit after dinner. Hope my dad can get health benefits from the Fitbit! Thanks for everything, Dad! Hope you enjoyed your day!
