Today me, my parents, my bro and his gf finally went to eat satay at Kajang. We all had been planning to go for months as the MRT is so convenient. We finally decided to go as my bro is back.
We went for lunch, and everyone was hungry. We took the MRT there. The restaurant is called Restoran Sate Kajang and is located just opposite the MRT station. We only had to cross the street. There was a pedestrian crossing.
We ordered 50 sticks. 20 chicken, 20 beef and 10 mutton (goat). Apparently they have other meats that were pretty unusual. They had deer and rabbit! OMG... my bro's gf used to have a pet rabbit so that was kinda a no no. Haha..
It came with a nice peanut sauce and ketupat and cucumber. You can adjust the spiciness of the peanut sauce as the chilli is separate. You can scoop it into your own bowl to mix it.
Apparantly it is authentic Malay satay. It's the real deal. It was almost RM1 per stick, but it was so good. The only thing was that the beef was kinda chewy, but not anything bad.
The drinks we ordered were lychee, coffee and iced lemon tea. Their drinks are pretty good. We also ordered a side of roti bakar (toast). It was so good with the satay sauce.
We ate so much meat! But I guess once in a while, eating different things is good. I would recommend this place to people who are meat eaters and wanna try authentic Malay satay. It is pretty cheap and convenient because of the MRT!
