A few days ago, I went with Fai to John Noodle House nearby. It is opposite the Tai Chow we frequent. My parents sometimes have lunch there. My parents are quite adventurous when it comes to lunch, often eating at the area near Leisure Mall. If it's nearby our house, often they will pack back the food as it is quite congested during lunchtime and there is no parking.
Anyway, John Noodle House has really nice Ipoh Hor Fun, noodles and dumplings like wantan and shui kow. So delicious. The chicken and dumplings are really juicy and succulent. And the soup is so flavourful.
Fai ordered the wantan mee with minced chicken. He said it was delicious. Certainly looks like it!
I ordered the wantan soup and a drink of iced white coffee. There were 5 wantans in a small bowl and they were delish! They are smaller than I remembered but maybe I forgot. The soup is kinda umami and subtly sweet. Bet there is lots of MSG but I don't care! The coffee is pretty good... creamy and sweet.
Here is a close up of the juicy wantan. I am starting to feel peckish writing this! I have not had my lunch. My parents and bro went out earlier and didn't pack lunch for me. They went to see wedding venues... not my cup of tea.
Anyway, I highly recommend John Noodle House in Taman Cheras. The food is of high quality. The price for what you are getting is also pretty good. The wantans have actual prawns in them... come on! Needless to say, due to the taste, quality and price, my parents love this place. I do too!Labels: eating out, meals
