Election Day 2018

Yesterday was our Malaysian GE14 election day. The elections were held starting at 8am until 5pm. My parents went early in the morning and I went with my brother a while later. A lot was at stake as people really wanted to see a change in government. Many people had to return to their hometown to vote and the election was held on a Wednesday which is inconvenient for them.

We waited in the hot sun and when it was my turn to vote, they dipped my finger in indelible ink. The ink above looks quite light but later on it got darker.

After voting, we went home and waited for the results until past 2am. I went to sleep earlier on. As the votes were counted, they seemed very close and I felt anxious. Was Pakatan Harapan really going to win? I couldn't stand the suspense so I took a nap and when I woke up I was overjoyed they won! New government!

Anyway, we will see what changes will be made. Hopefully they fix our country. For me, politics doesn't affect me much. Was happy for a change, finally.
