This past Sunday, we went for yet another CBS in the same place, Bandar Seri Putra, Kajang. This time round, I was quite relaxed about it. The night before, I rounded up my stuff and brought them all into my room in one place. I decided to sell one of my duvet sets, a wool blanket and my Hello Kitty pillow. I still had plenty of clothes left in my room and Diyana was keeping for me the clothes from the previous CBS. I was appalled at how much clothing I had accumulated.
Anyway, as usual, my dad sent me to the station early in the morning and my friend picked me up from the MRT station. We set up shop and immediately buyers swooped in on my wool blanket, my Hello Kitty pillow and 2 non branded bags. Diyana had already reserved the wool blanket and said she wanted to buy it from me so there were some disappointed people. I told them my friend had already bought it and they tried to top her price! Made me curious to see how much they would want to pay for it.
This time we had many clothes hanging for sale on 3 racks. Some of my t shirts sold well but commanded low prices. I let some go for RM2 coz I wanted to get rid of them. At the end of the day, I gave the whole lot to Diyana to donate. She was going to donate them to her university's thrift shop.
Diyana brought lots of cushions and they were quite well liked. As were our accessories. I sold a Mac lipstick for RM5 as it was already used. I made a new friend and sold her my necklaces for RM1 each. On hindsight I probably should not have been so kind, but then I went to her stall and I got a t-shirt for RM3. Another seller also bought my clothes for cheap so I bought a Polo button up shirt from her for RM3. It's kind of like exchanging. As sellers, we give better prices to other sellers.
Above are our 3 racks of clothes. Diyana's brightly coloured baju kurungs were so pretty and colorful. The quality is also really good and her children's clothes are actually brand new. Think she bought them near her house for cheap. She was gonna sell them for RM20. Really worth the money.
As the day wore on, we realized there were not many customers that day. Then the guy from the stall next door said it was because Tuesday was a public holiday for Labour Day and people were gonna take Monday off to enjoy a long weekend! No wonder. The number of sellers were also much less too and Diyana and I were puzzled for a while as it was the end of the month proper so people already got their salaries. People would have gone back to their hometowns on Friday night already.
Anyway, I had a lot of fun. After the sale was over, we took our time to pack and I sorted out the clothes I wanted to give to Diyana to donate. When I got home, she messaged me and said she wanted to buy some of the clothes I gave her. I would have given them to her for free as they were to be donated anyway but she insisted so I gave her 10 items for RM10. So kind of her. Hope to do this again real soon! I'm really hooked on CBSs!
