Car Boot Sale 2

Yesterday I went to another car boot sale with my friend Diyana. It was the same place as the previous one, at Bandar Seri Putra, Kajang.

As usual, I had to pack the night before and wake up at 5.30 am... and my dad had to send me to the station. Poor dad, I am very grateful. I arrived at Kajang MRT at 6.30am and my friend was a little late. She was rushing and forgot to bring the floor mat... and we went to her house to get it. By the time we got to the car boot sale it was way past 7am. I'm not sure what time exactly as I was too excited.

Anyway, this time round, the majority of my items were clothing. I brought lots and lots. The night before I actually brought my clothes racks and a bunch of clothes and other items to Kajang where Diyana picked them up. Thanks Diyana! I brought the rest of them on the day itself.

I brought lots of tops, pants, dresses and cardigans. Above, the first rack from the left is all dresses and light jackets. The middle rack is for pants, long sleeved tops and cardigans. The rack on the right is all tops like t shirts and casual tops.

It was such a fun day. Despite it getting hot around 11.30am, the surroundings were nice and it was amongst trees and greenery. It felt like a picnic. And the atmosphere was very relaxed and cheerful. I really like the car boot sale environment and meeting people there. I chatted with buyers and sellers and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was not yet the end of the month though and people's salaries were not in yet, so not many people went or bought things.

Our stall, under some trees

As a bonus, I made RM92 from sales. I spent RM40 on a power bank at the stall opposite ours, selling tech equipment. You really get a good variety of sellers here. For my clothes, the pants were the bestsellers, and my jeans were snapped up pretty quickly. Followed by dresses and tops. Some people bargained for my clothes and I gave them a good price. They were supposed to be RM5 each as I had used them and don't want them. But I let some go for less if they bought more than one. Pre-loved items usually go for pretty cheap here.

Diyana had some nice cushions and toys for kids, as well as some accessories. I brought makeup I had used but they weren't really popular. Only my nail polish and a couple of lipsticks were sold. I also brought a duvet and that sparked a lot of interest and was snapped up quite early on too. That was the most expensive item I sold. Some people remembered me from the last car boot sale!

Overall it was a good experience. I think there is one next week. Diyana might not be able to make it but will try. During Ramadan I think there is no CBS although even if there was, many people will not go. I prefer the CBS to the flea market as the surroundings are more chill. I hope to do this again soon! It's a really joyful experience!
