Supper at Taman Billion

I ate at Taman Billion 2 days in a row yesterday. It is near my house and is a cheap Western food joint. They are known for their budget friendly chow, mostly things like steak, seafood, chicken chop and other yummy things.

There used to be several shops on this road but now there is only one, called Rendezvous. They occupy 2 shoplots.

The food here is appetizing. Both days I ate baked mussels with cheese. It is made with cheese sauce and garlic. The cheese sauce has garlic in it and it is creamy and has a nice texture. The mussels are firm and go well with the cheese sauce. They serve half a dozen mussels in one plate.

Fai ordered cheese oysters the first day and chicken chop the second day. The cheese oysters were a bit raw and Fai didn't like the texture. It looked slimy to me. But the cheese topping looked delicious. I think oyster is a bit offensive to me in the taste and texture. I prefer cooked oysters actually.

Fai's chicken chop was standard fare. It was quite nice but the fries were a bit cold. He ordered black pepper sauce to go with it. The coleslaw looked alright and was surprised Fai ate it coz he doesn't normally eat vegetable side dishes.

Anyway, it was a great 2 nights of supper. Yummy yum yum.... It did set me back quite a bit. But it is still worth the price I paid. RM15+ for the mussels. Kinda affordable right? I'm not sure. Maybe that's the normal price and not cheap at all.

I hope to get out of my baking rut and start baking again! Hopefully I do start and practice more so I can sell my baked goods one day! Easter is coming soon, tomorrow... let's see shall we? What can I make?
