The past week we have been eating the veggies we brought back from Melaka. My mom cooked yam rice yesterday and the day before we had eggplant belimbing curry.
Belimbing is a sour fruit in the starfruit family. It has that juicy and sharp taste to it. It is nice when you want a sour curry like assam curry. Below is how my mom cooked it. She put in eggplants too and fish is under the veggies. It is refreshing and tastes good even without the fish.
My mom cooked pork dishes recently too like "hong bak" and "tu kah bak" which I forgot to take photos of because I was enjoying them so much. Hehe... Anyway, it was a nice few days of good food... but then in our house, when isn't there good food?
