Today my mom bought a crate of mandarin oranges... Teo Chew oranges. They came in a wooden crate which was interesting. Below are the pictures.
They cost RM56 for 56 oranges... Very expensive... It's RM1 per orange! My mom said it was because they are Teo Chew oranges. Apparently it is a premium orange.
The taste was really pleasant... Sweet, not sour. A bit tangy and quite orange-y. The skin was quite firm and fibrous. The colour was light and there were very few seeds. I ate 2 at one go, and will probably pop more throughout the day.
It really signals the start of CNY! We will make more cookies tomorrow, so I was wrong about being finished with CNY cookies. A few more batches to go.
Will start cleaning tomorrow as well... Planning the cleaning already. I will break down the cleaning process to manageable tasks... tomorrow is upstairs hall. I'm really enjoying all the preparations!
