Our CNY cookies are done! My mom made the following types of cookies -
- Pineapple tarts - open
- Kuih Bangkit
- Choc Chip Oat
- Sugee
- Almond
- Potato
- Green Tea
- Pineapple tarts - closed
- Peanut
Awesome variety this year. My mom experimented with some new cookies yet made the same favourites again like pineapple tarts, sugee and almond.

I enjoyed helping make the cookies, and I helped wash up too. The little help I gave helped tremendously. Even something as easy as spooning out dough for each cookie helps a lot, cutting down the amount of work for my mom. My mom has osteoarthritis but can still make cookies! I try to help with whatever I can.
Now the next activity is to get the house clean for CNY. This is the part where I wince at the thought of cleaning. I hope I can break the tasks down into small chunks. Or quickly do a little daily.
Anyway, I am all set for CNY! The dinner reservations are booked and my mom is working on the menu for our home dinner with our family. Celebrations are on!
