On Sunday night we had another CNY feast with my dad's side family at Imperial City Tai Thong restaurant. It was my dad's birthday and we celebrated both CNY and his birthday with this dinner. It was an 8 course dinner and the food is shown below. I really liked the chicken and mushroom soup.
Below are the pictures. Aren't they yummy? There were 8 dishes total. The top row is sausage rice Hong Kong style and desserts of Ninko with almond, and pear soup.
The middle row is chicken mushroom soup, fruits yee sang and steamed chicken with kailan. The bottom row is steamed cod with mushroom and ham, suckling pig with duck, and abelone with mushroom.
We had a good time at dinner. Some of them had red or white wine or both. I am a teetotaller so I didn't drink. After dinner we had lemon cheesecake at home... which I will blog about in the next post.
