I tried some new food food from Family Mart when I met up with Fai. I often go to Leisure Mall because it is convenient. When I eat there with Fai sometimes I would walk around and get dessert. We used to go to Snowflake but it is closed now so we often have alternatives like McD ice cream, MBG fruits, Teochew Cendol, or now, Family Store.
Above is what I had yesterday. On the left is an iced Americano coffee and on the right is chocolate mousse. It was fairly cheap. The Americano was RM7.20 and the choc mousse was RM5.90.
Below is the picture. On top is a piece of white chocolate and the top layer is fudgey chocolate while below that is the mousse. It was really creamy and the texture of the mousse was kind of frothy.
Last week I tried the items below. On the left is a cream roll and on the right is honedew soft serve ice cream. They were fairly cheap too. The honeydew ice cream was RM2.90 and the cream roll was RM2.70. The ice cream had a very melon-y taste. It was alright for me. The cream roll had a thick layer of cream. I think it is buttercream. And the sponge cake was really light and fluffy. I thought it was quite nice.
Overall I think Leisure Mall has some nice new shops now after the renovations. I will keep my eye on the lookout for more places to eat here.Labels: desserts, eating out, snacks
