As 2017 draws to a close, I am feeling optimistic and chilled. It was a good year with many achievements.
Typically each year end, I would review the year that was, and list 10 top happenings as well as find 3 top things to be grateful for. I also list the biggest challenge I faced and the 3 most influential people in my life. This is all done in my goals binder.
Each year end, after reviewing the year, I also set goals for the next year in 6 categories. Each category can have up to 2 goals. This year I had 9 goals. The upcoming year I will have 8 goals. The categories are career, physical, financial, mental, relationships and lifestyle.
After I decide on the goals, I decide how to measure them. I get very specific and have a monthly measurement system. For example, for my career goal of writing, I have a measurement of 15 times written per month. So each month end, I count how many times I have written and log it for the month.
So those are my goals. Overall 2017 was a good year and I made a lot of effort to progress in my life. To honor 2017 and welcome 2018, I have taken a photo of my daily planner from 2017 next to my new planner for 2018.
I bought the planner from Jusco with Jusco vouchers. Last year's one was bought by my mom at Popular bookstore. I use these planners to plan my daily activities and list things to do as well as schedule things to do daily/weekly/monthly.
What can I say, I am a list junkie and an organization junkie. I just like planning.
I hope things go well this year end and I have a happy and productive 2018!Labels: future, lifestyle, productivity, stationery, work
