Big Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yesterday I tried the most awesome recipe for chocolate chip cookies. You can find the recipe here. It is sweet, crunchy and caramel-ly. The recipe uses brown sugar with a little granulated sugar, which explains why it has a caramel taste because of the brown sugar. And the baking soda makes it very light and crunchy at the same time. Also it is packed full of chocolate chips (from the picture it doesn't look like there are that many chocolate chips because they sink to the bottom, but when you look at the bottom or break it you can see there are many.)

I followed the recipe exactly except here is is slightly warmer than where the recipe was written so the cookie dough was a bit soft when I handled it. I put them in the fridge for a while and they solidified a little but not enough. My cookies spread out while baking and became flat and wide.

You can see the size of the cookie below and this was just a tablespoon sized dollop. I made 2 trays of 12 cookies for a total of 24 cookies. It was simple to follow the instructions and get the result, except, of course, mine spread out a bit.

Below are the cookies I packed to bring to work. I brought them to work today and they were a hit! At home, I downed 3 cookies after baking and another 2 with milk at night while watching TV. They are impressive indeed. They look really legit and taste good too. How awesome are they??

The size and shape of the cookies are kind of like "Chipsmore" cookies. Big and round. I think they look so cute big and round. The taste is like a light, crunchy chocolate chip cookie. I am glad I made these. I made them so my whole family, colleagues and friends can eat them. But I have trouble resisting eating many of them! I hope there are still some left for my friends that I am meeting on Thursday! 😉
