Outing to Velocity, and Part Time Work

This past Monday, I went for an interview and it was successful and I start next Monday! It is a part time Admin job and I will be going in just 2 days a week. A good start to gaining employment again! I went there by MRT and the office was easy to find.

I realise I prefer having a relaxed mode of employment called a "portfolio career", where I balance working part time with doing other things on the side as well. I will work there part time, then continue with this blog as well as continue doing online surveys in exchange for cash vouchers. (at Global Test Market... sort of like focus group thing). I also have volunteer training later this month at Hospis Malaysia, which I hope to attend. Hopefully something will come out of the volunteer training. I don't want to take on too much anyway. I will see how this part time job goes!

After the interview, I met up with another friend who is also not working. She brought her friend so 3 of us went to Sunway Velocity Mall. My friend arranged it but it wasn't confirmed. After my interview I contacted my friend and they both were already there, so I took the MRT to meet them at Velocity.

I was super happy to meet them. Velocity is a 5 minute walk from Maluri MRT station. I walked on the covered pathway and went up the escalator to the overhead bridge connected to the mall. At the entrance immediately there is Caffe Bene and Uniqlo.

I skipped lunch and went shopping with them. I bought some clothes and hair ties. We spent a long time in each shop and browsed a lot. After we were done shopping, we had tea at Caffe Bene. We had gelatos. I had the yogurt one. Quite pricey. RM7+ for one scoop. But it was nice, and had an almost chewy texture.


After tea at Caffe Bene, we went to the supermarket, I think it was Aeon Max Value. My friend bought some bread for her breakfast the next day from a really nice bakery outside Aeon. I wanted to get the croissants but I was low on cash.

Overall I had a good day. I look forward to better things in the future and hope everything goes smoothly with this job and more good opportunities come up! I look forward to working again and hope it all goes well!
