Since the last update on my weight loss, I have dropped around 2 kgs. I find weight loss so difficult because I am already close to normal weight. My target weight is around 68 kg or less.
My weight now is 68.2kg which is almost there! So close! Hopefully I will reach 67 kg and be normal BMI again. Normal BMI is 25 or below. Mine is 25.1... I need to be below 68kg.
So anyway, my weight at Chinese New Year was 73kg. So in total I have lost 5 kg since then! But of course some of it was yo yo... I lost and gained 1 kg many times.
How did I lose weight? Basically I have been taking a herbal detox tea and that made me shed water weight and also fat. I have severe constipation so I use a herbal tea for regularity. The tea also acts as a weight loss supplement. As a side effect I have been losing weight. However I also had lifestyle changes accompanying taking the tea.
Here is the picture of the detox tea. I am not promoting it or having any affiliation with it. It is just a typical detox tea you can find at pharmacies.
I prepare it by adding hot water and letting it steep for half an hour.
After I drink it I feel no difference. But after 10-12 hours, I will have a bowel movement. It will be diarrhoea sometimes. I am happy with the bowel movement effect and I take it twice a week so I can have a bowel movement. Omg, I am messed up... I can't have a normal bowel movement and have become dependent.
Anyway, I hope to get treatment for my irregularity but at the moment, the tea helps so i will stick with it. I don't drink it every day anyway.
So in addition to taking the tea, I have been exercising regularly maybe 3-4 times a week. I also have cut down my lunch eating because I am not a daytime eater. My supper is still pretty substantial but I try to have a cut off time. My parents lock the kitchen door at night when they go to sleep around 12.30am!! So I guess that itself has helped as well! I am forced to deal with late night cravings and just go to sleep. All in all, I hope I can keep this up as it is going well. I just have to maintain this!Labels: diet, weight loss
