IT - Terrifying Movie

Today I went to watch It with my friend at IOI City Mall Putrajaya. I have been wanting to see this movie since it came out on Sept 8th 2017. Some of my friends didn't want to watch it as they didn't like horror movies. But I managed to find one friend willing to watch it with me. She also had seen the 1990 version of the Stephen King novel and was terrified by it. And we want to go through the fear of it for fun now. Haha!

When I watched It as a kid, it terrified me so much! I couldn't sleep and was scared out of my mind! The 2 part series followed the kids called the Losers as children and the second part as adults.

When I watched it today I was in the company of people so maybe I felt quite safe. There were some scenes that were really horrific where the clown comes straight at you and it shocks me silly! I still recall Pennywise saying "We all float down here"... OMG. There were a few zombie corpses also which looked pretty scary. The first part where the kid gets eaten by the clown in the sewer was pretty darn terrifying. Then each member of the losers club gets terrorised in their own way. The love triangle was interesting and I really like those kids. The clown was portrayed really well and the special effects were good.

I won't add any spoilers here but overall it was quite a scary movie. However it didn't scare me out of my wits this time round as much as it did when I was a kid. Maybe I was really impressionable as a kid. It is quite a popular movie now here with multiple shows in a day. I managed to catch up with my friend too. We went shopping for a while after the movie to get the scares out of our minds. I just hope I can sleep in peace tonight!
