Today I went for donuts at Big Apple Donuts & Coffee at Tesco with my friend Fai. When we went there around 4pm they were still having their tea time promotion which was RM21.75 for 2 boxes of 6. Quite a reasonable deal. So Fai got one box and I got one box. The place was really clean. There were 2 or 3 tables to sit at and they were clear. And the guy who was serving us was really efficient and polite. He patiently let me choose my donuts. He was really nice.
So I got below donuts and ate 3 of them at one go. I took the remainder home for my parents. They were all really good. I liked the powder sugar donuts so I got 2 of them and ate one. It had a nice white cream filling. The one at the bottom left is coffee, bottom middle is custard.
After our donut outing, Fai dropped me home and at 7pm we went out again to a branch of a famous mamak called Kayu. It was located in Permaisuri area, Cheras. Fai ordered sup kambing, roti kosong and milo ais. I just ordered a teh o ais limau. I was still full from the donuts so I only shared some of Fai's sup kambing which tasted very aromatic and herby. Not bad.
The teh o ais limau was quite good. It cost RM 2.40 which I am not sure is expensive or not. The place seemed like an upmarket mamak as the interior had air conditioning and looked nice, and I told Fai the term "high class" mamak is an oxymoron. Anyway, the food was alright. Can't complain as I was thirsty and the teh o ais limau was just what I needed.
So I am so grateful I can enjoy food still. I will have to rejoin the workforce soon. I can't do this forever. I have a few options with my degree in accounting. Though I will wait for something really good. Not actually wait, but find, I mean. I have to scout around. I hope I can find a job this year or next year. One that I really enjoy and can do well at.
