The past 2 days Fai and I had been eagerly anticipating the launch of the Durian McFlurry. Apparently it opens in McD's here on 24th August. Fai was tracking it on Facebook. We didn't go yesterday and were only able to go today! We avoided the queue, I suppose.
It is not a new product and they have launched it in Singapore and East Malaysia already. Now is the durian season here and has been for some time now. We have been eating durians and enjoyed them. What better way to enjoy them than with ice cream!
The McFlurry is made with soft serve ice cream and they spooned durian sauce on top. The durian sauce was custardy and had some durian-textured chunks in it. Very appetising. It really had the taste of durian and was supposedly D24, a high grade durian.
The soft serve ice cream was really smooth and it tastes so good with the durian sauce! Indeed it was mouthwatering. I tuck into it and enjoyed it. What a pity I couldn't bring some back for my parents as it would have melted in the car! I will go with my parents on a separate occasion. The price is RM7.99 which is to be expected as it contains durian. Yummilicious!
