Our garden keeps changing... I am glad everything is seasonal so we get to eat different things at different times of the year!
Now we have some daisies in bloom which are so pretty. I just had to share them. They come in pink and white.
The long beans we had are gone but we have cucumbers! And the eggplants are gone but we have choy sum! Choy sum is a kind of leafy green that can be cooked and eaten in a stirfry. So fresh and refreshing. Below is the choy sum.
Below are the cucumber plant and cucumbers. The cucumbers are really huge and really crunchy when eaten. Also, they are organic and really healthy. We have been eating these recently. I ought to make a dip for cucumber sticks. They are nice plain too. We have so many now... and some on the vine too!
There is also some pak choy growing next to the choy sum. It is also good in a stir fry. Below are the pak choy plant and the cooked version. There are fried onions sprinkled on top.
I really like these harvests. I can't wait to see what grows next! It is always changing and it is interesting to have different vegetables all the time. My mom has many seeds with her now given by various relatives and she can experiment to see what germinates. It is really healthy to have a vegetable garden and we can harvest the vegetables and cook them straight away.
