Beef noodles

My parents went to PJ to run some errands and I tagged along. Part of it was to go to a cake supplies shop. My mom had volunteered to bake a birthday cake for my grandfather's birthday party in Melaka. Wow it was an ambitious cake. A 2 tier cake with another 2 cakes by the side... For 100 people. My grandfather is very popular and has many friends in Melaka.

So I was glad I tagged along to the cake shop. I saw lots of different things. Like 1kg of marshmallows, oreo cookie crumbs and a myriad other things .. good stuff. In the end I settled on a packet of gelatin in order to better make mousse and cheesecakes. 😃

After the cake shop, we went to eat lunch in Taman Megah. The restaurant was called Restoran Megah Good Luck. We ate the beef noodles and they were really good. It was rice noodles in beef sauce which was quite thick, and tossed with peanuts, salted veg and sesame seeds. Yummy! It came with a side of beef stock. It really tasted like the beef noodles my dad likes in Seremban. It was a good imitation and really yummy. I liked it a lot.

I will blog more soon about the cake my mom is making for my grandfather's birthday! It looks like a nice cake project so far. Should be awesome..
