Komugi Bakery

Last week I went to Leisure Mall to get a haircut. I just neatened up my hair. Not much change in hairstyle. After the quick haircut, I went to Komugi Bakery on the G floor of Leisure Mall. I had sometimes seen it as I walked past but never tried it before.

My mom has been into croissants and breads lately. She is making sweet potato bread as we speak. So I thought of buying some croissants and breads back for my parents.

Overall Komugi bakery was not bad. I liked the layout of the store. The glass case showed the breads very well at the front of the store. No need to go inside and be crammed.

At the cash register there were some cakes and celebration cakes displayed. Komugi is a Japanese branded bakery. The cakes looked very pretty and I am thinking what celebration cake to make the next time it is someone's birthday!

Behind the glass case is a fair variety of breads. Mostly with garlic, butter, cheese and sausages, chocolate or red bean. Very traditional bread ware. Not unusual. For RM3 you can get a decent piece of bread.

Since my mom is into croissants at the moment, I chose one croissant to bring back. They looked fresh and firm on the outside. Which is good. Hope it is soft and airy on the inside too. My mom said that the more air pockets the better. Most of it is air.

I also saw a rainbow of macaroons in the glass case inside next to the cash register. I remembered the macaroon I had while travelling but decided not to splurge on a macaroon.  It is just a few bites and there goes my RM4.25 just to have a few mouthfuls. Anyway it looked so pretty. Wish I could buy a whole box full and admire them.

I took home with me a croissant for mom and dad, and a tuna bread for me for my lunch. It was RM6.40 total. My mom liked the croissant. It was pretty decent. The price was a bit high end, but I didn't get many items. Just 2 items. So I didn't put a whole in my wallet. The haircut already did. The haircut was RM50. Hole in pocket. I had a nice afternoon tea with mom and dad and these 2 pieces of bread. Very satisfying. Nice. I couldn't ask for more.
