Recently my mom made a red velvet cake. It looked awesome! It's actually a sponge cake and it is red because of food dye. And it has cream cheese icing! The cream cheese icing was so airy and light because it had some butter in it.
It had 3 layers, and a generous amount of cream between the layers. It was very moist and firm. The redness gave it a luxurious feel to it. Overall it looked great and tasted awesome too.
My aunt and grandma came to visit yesterday and they took home a quarter of the red velvet cake. My aunt liked the red velvet cake from Bread Story so hope she finds our cake nice as well!
