The Sunday before last I went with Ah Fai to a Lok Lok near leisure mall opposite the CIMB. It was for supper again.
The shop is not there during the day. It is just a bank - CIMB. But at night they set up tables and chairs and it becomes alive with a good amount of customers. You can see the pots steaming, looking so appetising and welcoming. We ordered gluten, pork belly, cheese sausages and Yee Mee. I also ordered a side of foo chuk. The foo chuk was way too much and it was fried with some fish paste. I expected it to be plain.
The gluten came in big, puffy balls but once put into the pot it became soft and pliant. The Yee Mee was nice too. We made sure it was al dente. Overall, it was a large supper and it was very appetising. I brought home the unfinished foo chuk and ate it later on.
I like going out to eat supper, but I am going to eat at home anyway just before I sleep. Seems redundant to eat a proper supper outside. I guess that's why I am so tubby.
