Hong Kong trip part 2

On the third day, Tuesday in HK, we went to Kowloon park. There we saw lush greenery, like an oasis of green surrounded by City buildings. The flowers were all in bloom and the park was well maintained. We saw tulips, roses and other flowers and arching beautiful trees. We saw a community centre with a swimming pool, and some ponds with flamingo and swans. There was an aviary where birds were chirping creating a peaceful atmosphere.

After the park, we walked to star ferry terminal and took a ferry for HKD2 to Hong Kong island. We took some pictures of Victoria harbour from the ferry and walked around Victoria harbour before heading to Central where the upmarket shopping and financial district was.

We took pictures of some of the buildings and when we were done, we went back to Kowloon by MTR. Luckily it wasn't rush hour and we managed to get into the trains without a problem.

Then we had lunch at a shop that we passed yesterday. I had char siew fun and roast duck. The half roast duck was very juicy and the skin was oily and fatty. A very good mouth feel.

We went back to the hotel to rest and went out shopping again at another upmarket area called Harbour City. Everything was branded and I saw Chanel, Miu Miu, Hermes etc. Of course I couldn't afford anything except photos. The people shopping here were so well dressed and good looking! I wish I were like them!

After window shopping, we went to eat dinner at a different dim sum shop which was more expensive than the previous one we ate at on Monday. We had char siew bao, custard bao, siu mai and har gao (no pics of these as it was all eaten within a few seconds). We also had turnip cake which was very oily, beef koay teow and choy sum. It was ok, and I liked the siu mai which I have no photo of.

At night we went to Best mart 360 again and I bought dried blueberries for HKD68. I bought shampoo and face wash from The Body Shop.

The next day we checked out at 1pm and went to the airport straight away. We were back in Malaysia by night time. We travelled by MAS both ways.

It was a good trip, although I had wished I could have gone to Avenue of Stars (which was closed for renovations), the clock tower and the Symphony of Lights at 8pm at the harbour. I had already seen those during my last trip anyway though.
