I made caramelized bananas today. It's a really nice, sweet, gooey dessert and I made it for my family after dinner.
I know I am Paleo but I still had some. Basically you cook the bananas and top it with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream. I will share the recipe below.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1-2 tablespoons rum
2 large bananas cut into half lengthwise and cut again to make 4 pieces per banana
1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream per serving
Directions:
Melt the butter over a stove on medium heat. Slowly add sugar and dissolve it in the butter. Add cinnamon and rum.
Then add in the bananas and simmer until tender. Serve with 1-2 scoops of ice cream per serving.
