Hope for the future

Today I read an article about jobs being taken over by machines. It was quoting Elon Musk and Bill Gates. It said 45% of all US jobs could be automated within the next 20 years.

Jobs like driving, warehousing and retail could go to machines. Machines would even do a better job. But how would it affect unemployment? Only highly skilled, caring or creative jobs will remain. The best thing in the article is that Elon Musk talked about universal income. A wage paid to everyone unconditionally. So people wouldn't have to do menial jobs. Think about it... Just letting machines do work while we live our lives.

This would work well for me. I don't like to drive so I can take a driverless car. Instead of working, I can get a universal income.
